Audience Research



























Summary

In conclusion out of the 50% males and 50% females, ranging from ages 16-30+, in which we surveyed most of our results gave us our ideas for our film trailer. For example:

  • Children were found to be the scariest
  • Trailers and billboards were the advertising that most influenced people
  • Most people expect a cliffhanger and the 'best bits' from a horror film
  • Horror was the favourite genre from the selected participants
  • Saw and Paranormal Activity were the favourite horror films chosen
  • Once a month was the most popular time period in which people watch horror films
  • An abandoned house was said to be the most scariest setting
  • Paranormal was what was expected of a horror

This was able to help us when planning for our film trailer ideas.
