Film plot summary

Back Story

• A long time ago there was a happy family who lived in the house on the marshes
• one night, dad got called out for work purposes, not realising that his wife had not yet returned home from her work shift
• this left their seven year old daughter alone in their house
• the little girl had a latern by her bedside table which normally her mother would turn out for her once she had fell asleep
• the lantern was knocked over causing the little girls room to go up in flames
• the little girl was killed in her sleep, along with their house being burnt
• mum & dad was so distraught & belived it was their fault that they committed suicide
• the little girl still lives in the house, not knowing that she is dead waiting for her parents to return home

Present

• two girls & two boys are on a road trip
• their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere
• the two boys decide to go to look for a petrol station leaving the two girls with the car
• night falls and the two boys still aren't back
• near where the car is parked there is an old abandoned house
• the girls see a light flash from the house window & believe its the boys back, messing around
• they get out of the car and go to 'find the boys'
• once inside the house they begin to get spooked by the little girl who is unsure why they are in her house

for example,. they see her face appear, a doll in the corner get up, hear a little girl singing

• the door is jammed so they cant escape
• if only they knew it was a cry for help from the little girl
